I apparently still like Disneyland.  Its been a few years since I have gone so I was a bit worried. We both picked up our passes yesterday and had a great time. Appartnely you can pay for a pass month by month. Which comes out to about 20 bucks a month. Not a bad way to go.

So the holidays are coming up. My grandmother wanted me to make a Wishlist, So i did it up in Gdoc format. And since I took the time to put it together I might as well ask if anyone else wants to see it. I'm wrapping up the last items on it. Then I'll probably transfer ownership to Alex, so I can no longer see it. Then people can mark off what they want to pick up.

This feels a bit like a gift grab, but I know when I buy gifts for people I prefer to see wish lists.

Really?

What do you people like to do when the person you live with leaves town for a few days. Alex is heading up to visit some family form the next 4 days. So I have the place all to myself. The question is what to do. I think I'm supposed to play poker and smoke cigars, but I don;t like either of those things.

The housewarming party this weekend was a huge success! Many games were played. Alex's kick ass foods went over super well, ie, the all vanished. We met our neighbors who just so happen to be huge nerds. So life is good.

That the very Earth itself was willing to make you move?

Here's my thought process. all the month before we move. 95-100 degree temps. Since we moved in last week. It hasn't  been over 85 and we might have rain next week. Coincidence? You decide.

The move went great. 6 hours from start for finish ain't to shabby. We have jsut a few things remaining at the old place, but should have the last of it by Tuesday.

A huge thanks goes out to everyone who helped. Without all you guys it would have been a disaster.

The new place is FANTASTIC! So much room, we hardly know what to do with it. Unpacking is moving along briskly. Can't wait to have it finished so we can show it off to guests.

Back in  . . . damn . . . like '03-'04 I had a very good buddy. I would probably call him my best friend at the time. We always had a very good time, whith what ever we did. We had a ton of intrests in commen, Video Games, D&D, driving way to far taking random pictures of things we found along the way. Good times were had by all. Sadly at some point he got a girlfriend, and well she didn't much care for me. So our RPG group disolved, and I havn't talk to him in many a year. Well through the grapevine I hear his lady dumped him a few months back and I wondering what the ediquite is here. I didn't really think about it till a this week, and for a really dumb sounding reason. I was listening to a podcast review the boardgame War of the Ring, which is a big fancy wargame based on your guessed it, Lord of the Rings. And I was thinking to myself "Man that sounds neat, too bad no one I know would be into that" and that segwaied into "Hot damn those were good movies, I had a ton of fun seeing those, who did I see those with? Oh yeah . . . . " Now I'm wondering if I should get in touch, I hear stuff isn't going so hot for him. And with the move I feel like I finally have a place that can really accept guests. I don't know, maybe I'll mull this over till after the move and do some myspace stalking.

Thoughts?

Kick Ass is a pretty neat comic, but I'm not sure how I feel about it get made into a movie already. I just read that the movie has finished shooting, but the comic still hasn't finished!

Well, any excuse to watch Nick Cage shoot little girls is alright by me.

FDA says no more flavored smokes! Finally. Now if only we can get ride of those filters. If your gonna some, go all in, unfiltered Lucky Strikes. When I worked at a gas station I always approved of the old guy in the beat up pick-up truck who got unfiltered cigs. He would walk in, toss down exact change and never give me a problem.

That was in sharp contrast to the 18 year olds who would come in with a fist full of pennies make me count them, be 20 cents short (on a one dollar item) and ask if that was enough. They would leave go to thier car, dig for some change come back and get thier grape flavored mini cigars, then return to the car, show it to thier friend hiding in the back, return and ask to exchange it for another flavor.  Fuckin' kids.

I have a strong dislike for the "wink wink" aspect of alot of the retail I have worked in. At the Crypt it was "No we don't see Poppers, we sell Video Head Cleaner" I must have said that like 30 times a week.  Same thing applies as above, of you wanna get fucked in the butt, get out the Crisco and make it happen. Then these kids asking for "Blunts". The trick here was they buy the flavored cigars, take out all the tabacco and refill them with pot. I'm just glad we never sold any of those little flowers in vials. Ugh.

Music to die for

I read a lot of random Wikipedia articles.  It's a great way to pass the time on a slow work night. And I ran into two articles that made me want to try an experiement. First was an artical about the death of Kurt Cobain. We all know he ate a shotgun, but some of the details intrested me. Most of all was the music he was listening to when he did it. Automatic for the People by R.E.M. I'm always up for a good drinking experience, one night when I have some free time I think I'm gonna darken up the house, put on that CD, crawl inside a bottle of wiskey and see where my brain goes.

I'm also sort of intrested in the album Double Fantasy by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The details of John Lennon's murder are facinating. His killer hung around out side the hotel with a copy of this album, and a copy of Catcher in the Rye, got the album signed. Then hung around for a few hours, when John came back and walked past him, the killer stood up, put four bullets in his back, took off his jacket and sat back down. And just hung out and waited for the cops. Someone asked him if he knew what he did and he camly replied "Yes, I just shot John Lennon".  That just seems totally nuts.
